Pet Simulator X Diamond Mine Update: Free To Play or Empty Excuse?
Via The Bloxay Blog • Published 16/04/2023 • 7 minute read
Pet Simulator X's weekly update has released, and with it comes the Diamond Mine realm with three new areas. Let's dive into it and break it down to ultimately find out if this update is an awesome addition for free-to-play players, or if its a lazy excuse to sell more Robux products.

Entering the cave...
The Diamond Mine is a bit weird, since its considered its own Realm, yet is inside of the main Pet Simulator X universe. It's entrance can be found next to spawn, the leaderboads, and the daycare. It's a bit odd that its located here since there is already a Mine area inside of the Spawn World, and it would make much more sense to put it there. Nevertheless, let's go in!
The three new areas added
Once you enter the Diamond Mine, you'll immediately notice that there are three new areas that you can unlock and experience. The new worlds are (from easiest to hardest): Paradise Cave, Cuber Cavern, and Mystic Mine. They all have unique requirements needed for you to unlcok them, varying from your rank, what areas you have unlocked, and a diamond cost. These are all fine, as I'd say a good 60%+ have these requirements already, and can unlock the first two worlds instantly. However, the last requirement to enter the final top tier mine has started some drama among the Pet Simulator X community. To unlock the final top tier mine, you must release a Huge pet into the wild. This means basically deleting your Huge pet.
So, the question you might be asking is this: Is it worth it?
That's sadly difficult to answer. If you're willing to spend a lot of time down there, then you'll easily be able to get the amount of diamonds for another Huge. However, not everyone can do this, so if you're looking for instant gratification, you're going to be left disappointed, since, you won't be getting billions or even millions of diamonds instantly. It will take time to grind for it.
How many diamonds can you earn?
This question, again, is difficult to answer, and entirely depends on how much you're willing to play. However, we can give you this information:
Paradise Cave (first mine):
Smallest pile: ~500 diamonds per break.
Biggest pile (present gift): ~4,150 diamonds per break.
Cyber Cavern (second mine):
Smallest pile: ~2,030 diamonds per break.
Biggest pile (tall vault safe): ~10,000 diamonds per break.
Mystic Mine (third mine):
Smallest pile: ~3,000 diamonds per tick.
Biggest pile (tall vault safe): ~13,000 diamonds per tick.
Keep in mind these values were done as part of a quick experiment. Also, the developers of Pet Simulator X have confirmed that it's better to break the piles around the huge chest, and the huge chest should only be used for AFK grinding.
Other minor changes and improvements
There are some other minor changes and improvements which you can view on the BIG Games website Developer Blog. They're all amazing changes and improvements, and help out with the general quality-of-life in Pet Simulator X.
Final thoughts
So, is this update good for free-to-play players? Absolutely, if you're willing to play for a bit. It's an awesome update that continues to make Pet Simulator X the best standard simulator on Roblox. I can't wait to see what they introduce next update!
