My Opinion On The MrBeast and Chris Situation

Note: When referring to "MrBeast" in this post, I am referring to the MrBeast brand and not the creator, Jimmy Donaldson.

Recently, Chris Tyson from the MrBeast YouTube channel and MrBeast brand announced that they have been taking HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) for approximately two months. Because of this, a lot of people have been speculating on how this will effect the MrBeast brand, and whether or not Chris will continue appearing on the YouTube channel. Here is my opinion about this.

Before we begin we need to remember that Chris is an actual person, and is likely becoming transgender for his own happiness. I wish Chris the best on his endeavours, however, whether he likes it or not, he is causing controversy for the MrBeast brand. MrBeast has exploded in popularity, and with that, Jimmy Donaldson, the creator of MrBeast, as well as his friends, including Chris, have also become globally known with the MrBeast brand. With Chris' announcement that he is transgender, he forces Jimmy to make a choice, with both options having a negative outcome.

• Choice one - Keep Chris on MrBeast: Jimmy could opt to keep Chris on the MrBeast YouTube channel and brand, however, for those who are against Chris becoming transgender, it could result in MrBeast content being disliked more. You can already see this happening with recent MrBeast content featuring Chris, with a recent livestream on MrBeast's second YouTube channel, MrBeast 2, getting more dislikes than likes. Choosing this option could severely impact MrBeast's brand and viewership rates, although, would keep Chris happy.

• Choice two - Have Chris not be on MrBeast: The second option is more unlikely, however, still possible. If this happens, Chris would stop appearing on MrBeast's YouTube channels and brands, maybe instead working on things behind the scenes. This could create even more chaos than keeping Chris on MrBeast, as some could call Jimmy transphopic, and MrBeast could even be cancelled by the public. If this option is chosen there is no doubt in my mind that Chris would rightfully be angry.

Either way, whatever Jimmy and MrBeast executives choose, the MrBeast brand is now stuck between a rock and a hard place. No matter which option is chosen, there will be a somewhat negative outcome. Its rare cases like this where not doing anything is actually doing something, and no doubt will cause a lot of tension for Jimmy, and the MrBeast brand.

Ultimately, this decision is for Jimmy, and MrBeast executives to make. Whatever option they choose will leave a portion of viewers unhappy, however, there is nothing that can stop that. Even if Chris decided to turn back, ultimately, some viewers would say that Jimmy closeted Chris. It's difficult situations like this in life which really show you the pain that these internet celebrities go through way too often, causing difficult choices to be made constantly, always leaving some unhappy.

Whatever happens, I wish that both Jimmy and Chris can remain friends. I understand these situations can have severe impacts on friendships, but I can't begin to imagine what it would be like on the scale of MrBeast, Jimmy, and Chris.
